Crunchy Herbed Guacamole Recipe

Today is National Guacamole Day! We’re happy to honor this delicious dip as it’s one we serve weekly in casa de Rural Mom!  Thanks to our friends at IMUSA, we have a special recipe with a twist to help you celebrate this festive occasion, George Duran’s signature recipe for Crunchy Herbed Guacamole.  Spicy chipotle sauce and radishes take this guac over the edge to deliver you a brand new taste experience!

Crunchy Herbed Guacamole Recipe

When you’re making guacamole, it helps to have the best, helpful tools.  Leading Hispanic cookware brand IMUSA offers tools that make cooking authentic Mexican cuisine easy and fun. This recipe uses the IMUSA Granite Molcajete, which is large enough to grind up a party-size batch of guacamole, then mix and serve it in the same bowl.

Made from ultra-durable natural granite, this mortar & pestle extracts essential oils from herbs and spices – dried & fresh. Granite’s nonporous qualities prevent it from absorbing those oils, keeping the flavor in your food and not in the tool. The weight of the stone provides stability and makes pounding a cinch. You’ll find it at Target for $19.99

Invite your friends, break out the tortilla chips, and enjoy this fantastic recipe!

This looks so tasty! Thanks for sharing this recipe. While I love adding radishes to my Tostadas, I’d never thought to add them directly to my guac!

Wow, that mortar makes it so much easier, mine is pretty old and not that good either, I clearly need an upgrade. And for $20 this is so cool, love the legs, it makes it looks much more expensive.

This might sound weird but while I do love my guacamole I have to admit I never thought of adding radishes though in hindsight it seems so obvious. I would add some chili; I love my guacamole super spicy and creamy.

That was a new ingredient for me, too, Miranda. Love guacamole, so it’s definitely fun trying new recipes and ways to enjoy.
