Get Your Home Spring Ready With Dollar Tree #sponsored

I am really happy to work with our sponsor, Dollar Tree, today to share this information with you. I did receive compensation to thank me for my time, but my love of a good bargain and spring cleaning are all my own!

We enjoy shopping at our local Dollar Tree! My family and I average at least one trip per month for everything from birthday and party supplies to craft and school needs, and of course, cleaning supplies.

Every year when I set my clocks forward, I start prepping for spring cleaning. Before I dive in and start chasing dust bunnies and organizing shelves, I take stock of my inventory. I take the time to toss out old or worn cleaning supplies, toss almost empty bottles of cleaner and start a master listof what I need to purchase. With list in hand, I head to Dollar Tree.

Know Your Goal Before You Go:

It’s important to have a clear vision of what your end goal is before you go shopping, so take a few minutes to visualize what it is you want to accomplish.  Is the kitchen driving you nuts? Focus on kitchen needs. Need help corralling clutter? Focus on storage systems that fit your home and lifestyle.

If you have never shopped at Dollar Tree for cleaning and organizing supplies, you are really missing out! They have aisle upon aisle of cleaners, buckets, brushes and bins!

I’ll admit, with so many products and brands to choose from, it’s tempting to fill up your cart – but don’t do it! Remember, your goal is to clean and organize your home, so stick to your master list and you’ll have this shopping trip done in no time.

My Goal:

My goal is to equip and organize my kitchen and bathroom cleaning supplies so that my daughters can assist me easily. I found these colorful caddies with handles and decided that red will be for the bathroomcleaning supplies and green will be for the kitchen.

Even though these caddies are compact, (making them perfect in storage areas where space is at a premium, like under sinks), they still hold a lot.  Once I’d chosen what I was going to store my cleaning supplies in, it was time to go down my master shopping list.

Check! In my cart they went.

I turned to the other side of the aisle and found all thebrushes for kitchen clean-up right there.

Last, just certainly not least, I went down the household cleaning aisle.  I have always used Lysol Lemon, Clean and Fresh scented products in my home. I just love the smell, as does my family. I also grabbed a bottle of citrus-scented Spic and Span for the greasy jobs and happily headed for the checkout.

Score!

I got everything in my cart for less than 15 bucks and in less than 15 minutes!

Once at home, I showed the girls our cleaning supplies and they happily went to work setting up their caddies. Now, if I can just get them to use them regularly, I’ll be one happy mom indeed.

You can always find some great stuff there!! Not sure I want to think about Spring cleaning, though. 🙂 Thanks for the reminder.

      Hi Jamie,
I agree- I’m always a happy shopper when I’m at Dollar Tree! I know spring cleaning is a pain sometimes, but I’m actually looking forward to this yearly tradition. It’s satisfying once all the work is done.
