Unending Possibilities for Outdoor Adventure

In popular locations all over the country, you can enjoy a wide variety of outdoor activities to experience thrilling adventure or to relax and commune with nature. The Mountains

Mountains offer thrilling experiences in the winter and summer. Skiing and snowboarding in Boyne Falls, Michigan or Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin are just a few of the attractions. There are also tube runs, night skiing and cross-country skiing along breathtaking trails through forests and beside lakes. If skiing is not your favorite activity but you still enjoy the snow, try taking snowmobile tours or sledding down the slopes.

The Great Smokey Mountains offer a wide variety of activities from hiking and biking to zip lining, whitewater rafting and horseback riding. If you like the high desert, from Las Vegas, Nevada you can visit the Grand Canyon in a helicopter or see gorgeous vistas along the hiking trails in the mountains.

The Ocean

A vacation at the beach includes fresh ocean breezes, wonderful seafood and a lot of fun playing in the sand. St. Augustine, Florida and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina offer soft, white sand and a wide selection of water sports to add spice to your lazy afternoons.

St. Augustine is the oldest city in the U.S. has a fascinating historic district and is considered one of the top golf destinations in the world with two championship golf courses. Myrtle Beach is also famous for good golfing and the water sports available are parasailing, windsurfing, kayaking and salt-water fishing.

Food and Wine

If you’re looking for a culinary vacation, you may be surprised at some of the recommended destinations. Las, Vegas, Nevada, Charleston, South Carolina and Orlando, Florida have some of the best restaurants in the world and Disney’s Epcot Center hosts an annual food and wine festival every fall.

The Shenandoah Valley, Virginia wine trail runs along the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is a region of spectacular natural beauty where the best grapes in Virginia grow. You can take a tour of the wineries and taste a variety of wines made in the area. For those not interested in the wine tour, there are 500 miles of hiking trails, several historic sites including a reenactment of The Battle of Cedar Creek and Dinosaur Land with more than 50 monumental exhibits.

Family Fun

Most vacation destinations offer activities that are especially for families and children, but there are a few places that stand out from the rest. Branson, Missouri is considered the Live Music Show Capital of the World and provides a variety of entertainment for the whole family. Las Vegas, Nevada has made it a point to attract families with free circuses and other shows as well as inexpensive all-you-can-eat buffets that are great value for traveling families.

Orlando, Florida speaks for itself with theme parks that children and adults enjoy visiting year after year. Williamsburg, Virginia offers another kind of entertainment with living history museums and colonial reenactments that are virtual time machines taking you back centuries.

Vacations rejuvenate and refresh your body and mind as well as give an opportunity to see and do new things. With vacation rentals, you can enjoy it all at a price you can afford.
