The count-down to holiday shopping is on! We’re chatting about Layaway
options in this is a sponsored post. I am a @Kmart blogger, though all opinions are my own.

There are only 6 shopping weekends left before Christmas.  Can you believe that?  The holiday season totally crept up on my this year!

While we may not start shopping, decorating or celebrating until after Thanksgiving, there are a few holiday ‘musts’ that you need to start sooner rather than later.  Smart planning will help keep your smooth and on the budget track.  Putting your big and small items on layaway right now can make a big difference between holiday shopping sanity and holiday shopping headaches.

What Is Layaway? Layaway is a system stores like Kmart offer. You essentially buy the item or gift now and pay for it over time. The store hangs on to the item and you take it home once you’ve paid for it in full.

The Benefits of Layaway?  There are so many benefits to layaway, including the opportunity to save money.

  • You can buy the item on sale now.
  • You don’t have to pay interest.
  • You ensure the item is available.
  • You avoid the extreme holiday shopping crowds.
  • You’ll have easy payment installments.
  • You get your holiday shopping done early.

Whether you have one or 100 items , you can Layaway almost everything on your list without paying a service fee through 11/23 at Kmart. Plus, you can pay in store, online or using a mobile phone.

Eight or 12 weeks later (depending on your contract) pick up your items and you’re good to go! Bonus: After you figure out how easy it is, you can Layaway all year round at Kmart.

The holidays are just around the corner. If you’re on a tight budget, that news may be enough to make you break a sweat. The holidays can be an expensive time of the year. Many families not only break their budget but actually go into debt to afford gifts. Layaway may be the answer you’ve been looking for.

Kmart’s layaways have saved me so many times it is not even funny. I have shopped and avoided crowds, stayed within my budget, not gone into debt and gotten everything bought wrapped and under the tree without the stress of the holidays. I’m a huge fan of their layaway program.

I like having everything paid off by Christmas so I don’t have to worry about bills afterwards!

I like layaway because my husband can’t find what I bought! lol – seriously, he is notorious for tearing the house apart in search of Christmas presents when I am not home.

I have never tried Layaway before, but it would be great for big ticket items like Video Game Consoles, TV’s and Tablets that is for sure. I’m going to keep this in the back of mind since I have a Kmart like 2 minutes away from my house.
