In my late twenties, I wore shoes suited for work.
In my thirties, I reached for anything that was comfortable, easy to slip on, and could withstand baby burbles.
In my forties, I’m now paying the price for these footwear faux pas.
Ignoring overall body health and wellness in my early years has certainly taken it’s toll. Ill-fitted shoes, sky-high heels, flips with no arch support, gym shoes worn way past their prime – they’ve all made my feet hurt, my posture suffer, and left me with a genuine fatigue about the subject of footwear.
When I finally woke up to the fact that taking care of my feet by providing healthy footwear was a long-overdue intelligent move, I began to explore various options… which has currently lead me along the Earth Brand path…
From the second I slipped into a pair of “The Solar Too” Kalso Earth shoes, I felt the well-crafted design revitalizing the worn and weary partners who have carried the weight thus far.
I have found the green grass again, the fields where I feel like running, the sands on the beach made for strolling while I bask in the sunshine, soak in the lapping waves along the shore, seeking communion with the universe.
My feet thank me with each step.
The painful reminders of past footwear indiscretions fade away.
My soles rejoice!

Kalso Earth shoes abide by very simple principles. Each shoe is fitted with a negative heel based on the popular yoga “Mountain” pose, designed to mimic walking barefoot in the sand by naturally positioning the body over the frame. Better walking motion improves posture and reduces joint stress.
Add in a range of fun and sophisticated styles and you have a shoe that exudes wellness for the body, heart and mind.
Thank you to Kalso Earth for helping to facilitate this stride-changing experience. All thoughts and opinions are that of Rural Mom.

Wow…. you’re the second blogger in her 40’s that I’ve discovered TODAY! 🙂 I’m blessed to have a hubby who’s short, so I don’t have a whole lot of foot damage, but I do get tired. I’m headed to the website now. Your shoes are adorable!
You’re so right. Paying more attention to our health in every little way we can, from posture, to food, from the inside out — so important. THanks so much for sharing this find. Awesome post.
I hear you about paying the price for past poor shoe choices! I’m in my 40’s and I need more cushion now (a lot more if I can get it :-> ) These shoes look adorable.
I’m glad I found you through VoiceBoks Members To Remember
These shoes look very comfortable and did I mention how cute they looked. I want some now but my husband says that I don’t need any more shoes at the moment. 🙁
I love the look of these shoes and they are great that you can wear them for everyday rather than for dress. They have a great style.

Sounds like a good philosophy for a shoe company & I think they’re cute, to boot!
