Martha & Friends: Martha’s Magnificent Egg DIY

Martha & Friends: Martha's Magnificent Egg DVD

In truth, I can spend hours gawking at the beautiful craft projects, recipes, and home ideas in Martha Stewart’s magazines and on her numerous websites.  She certainly sets the craft bar high, but I really love that every step of the clever techniques are revealed and often, are highly achievable, even by hobby DIY gal like me.

So, I’m tickled to see the Martha & Friends program bringing the love of crafts and all things DIY to our younger generations.  Encouraging creativity is always a win with Rural Mom!

A new DVD, Martha & Friends: Martha’s Magnificent Egg, releases today (2/12), right in time to get a head start on all our Easter projects.

Easter happens to be one of Martha’s favorite Holidays.  In Martha & Friends: Martha’s Magnificient Egg, ten-year-old Martha and her friends create and craft their Easter baskets to enter an Easter contest. Everyone wants to win the prize but Martha shows us that winning is not everything and that helping a friend in need is more important.

The cute and clever cartoon engages children young and old to follow Martha and her friends on their hand-crafting adventures, while instilling important values in the process.  In this particular episode, the central theme of “sharing” and the portrayal of healthy competition and gracious friendship behavior are invaluable lessons for young girls.

Martha & Friends: Martha’s Magnificent Egg contains the main feature along with four bonus webisodes and downloadable recipes and craft projects for the Easter season.  While I plan to share the DVD and crafts with my grand daughter, I’ll also be engaging my sons in some of the entertaining and educations crafts like the “Eggshell Flower Pots” featured. There’s definitely a little something for everyone to enjoy!

We used to make those egg shell flower pots too. Great way to recycle.
