Hot Toys for 2012: Glee Make Your Own Candy Kits #Giveaway

Each year, our stockings are hung by the fish tank (we don’t have a chimney) with care and like many, my children will find them filled with goodies on Christmas morning.  My general go-to staples generally include a little holiday candy and gum, which are always well received.

Filling the stockings this year will be so much more fun, though, as the Glee Gum Make Your Own Chewing Gum Kit will be taking the place of the standard packs.  My children will be be able to make their own chewing gum, learning valuable cooking and cultural skills in the process, and I have no doubt that this kit be a total hit!

Inside each Make Your Own Chewing Gum Kit are all the instructions and ingredients needed to make flavored gums: chewing gum base (containing natural chicle), confectioner’s sugar, corn syrup, natural cinnamon and cherry flavors, a pan for softening the chicle gum base, and instructions and the story of chicle.

It’s amazing how easy the process looks, too.  Basically you soften the chicle gum base, add the ingredients, knead it and viola- homemade gum!

In addition to the Make Your Own Gum Kit, Make Your Own Chocolate and Make Your Own Gummy Candy kits are also available for purchase.  They each make terrific stocking stuffers or are certainly great gifts for holiday giving on their own or as a set.

Lesson plans are available for each kit, making them ideal for class room activities, scout troops, birthday parties, home school, or after school groups, too.
