Hot Toys for 2012: Reverse Charades

Last year, Reverse Charades was one of our top picks for hilarious  clever new games from the Chicago Toy Fair. Reverse Charades is making our top list again this year, thanks to their newly launched Reverse Charades Expansion Packs which add even more belly-busting laughter, mayhem, and fun to the game play!

Reverse Charades is a twist on their normal charades game that you know and love- where one person acts out the words for the team and yada-yada-yada… ho-hum, yawn.  In Reverse Charades, there’s no chance you’ll have time for boredom as the rip-roaring pace of action will keep you guessing.  Each team has only 60 seconds to act out as many themed words as one person can possibly guess.

Everyone we played with last holiday season has requested we haul out the game again for Thanksgiving and Christmas parties.  This year, we have a special surprise for them with the new Holiday Edition Expansion Pack.

Words our groups will be acting out include “10 Lords a Leaping,” “Christmas Pudding,” and “hot apple cider.”  You can likely imagine the laughter over the odd combinations our groups will come up with to illustrate each word.

This was supposed to be an enactment of “snowflake”
– it’s totally interesting what everyone comes up with!

Reverse Charades Expansion Packs are available in:

  • Girls’ Night In Edition—Strut your stuff at your next girls-only party with outrageously fun women-themed words like: mani-pedi, blind date, Charlie’s Angels, shaving legs, aerobics and soccer mom. A portion of the sales of this edition goes to support breast cancer research.
  • Sports Edition—Get ready to rumble at tailgate parties and victory celebrations with athletic-themed words like: grand slam, fumble, Olympic torch, 7th inning stretch, synchronized swimming, kickboxing and tag team wrestling.
  • Holiday Edition—The perfect stocking stuffer to make your parties and family gatherings even merrier and brighter with holiday-themed words like: Frosty the Snowman, mistletoe, snowball fight, sleigh ride, and piñata.
If you are looking for a terrific holiday gift or a memorable game for your holiday gatherings, Reverse Charades should be on the top of your list!
