Baking for friends and family throughout the year is something I’m very passionate about doing. Those who know me have certainly been supplied with lots of goodies! I mean, really, what better way to show up for a visit, than with a tin of muffins in hand? They are certainly always well received!

They were clamoring for chocolate chip cookies about the time the cookbook arrived, so I decided to give them a fun twist by making the Tate’s Bake Shop Chocolate Chip Muffins recipe. The muffins were amazing (of course I had to have a small sampling while they were still warm from the oven) and my son’s reviews were rave! My muffins turned out a little denser than the recipe as I used bread flour, but that worked out perfectly as they were more like a cross between a cookie and a muffin- a combination that suite just what my boys ordered.
