Getting Giggly With the Fisher-Price Giggle Gang

Rural Mom is pleased to have guest reviewer Kari, Mommy to Elodie share her views on the adorable new Fisher-Price Giggle Gang:

There are few sounds in the world more precious than hearing my daughter’s giggle. But for some reason, my daughter usually does not think my silly antics are funny (even though I know they really are.) Sound familiar? There is one sure fire way to elicit sweet baby giggles- another little one’s laugh!

The Fisher-Price Giggle Gang is a troupe of cuddly and silly looking creatures, all with their own unique baby laugh. So far, we have Fuzzy and Kiwi, but there are four other adorable plush pals to pick from.

Here is the video of Elodie meeting her Giggle Gang friends for the first time:

As you can see, she was immediately interested in them, with their bright colors and big smiling faces. She really enjoyed the fact that she was able to make them giggle on her own, and they even made her chuckle quite a few times! I thought these toys might be more enjoyable for younger infants, but even at 18 months old, Elodie found these to be fascinating toys. For the past few days she has been toting them around everywhere, tickling them, feeding them bites of her (real) food, and treating them like baby dolls.

The Giggle Gang toys are ideally suited for infants older than 6 months, and there are many features of the Giggle Gang that they will love. All of the Giggle Gang characters are colorful and soft, with many different interesting textures. They are really cute, and basically look like a giant smiley face. Also, even young infants who can grasp and move the toy will be able to make it giggle, demonstrating cause and effect, much like a rattle does.

About the Guest Reviewer:

Kari is Mommy to Elodie (www.mommytoelodie.tumblr.com), a rambunctious 18 month old little girl. Kari was formerly an Infant Preschool Teacher, so she knows a good toy when she sees one! Currently, she spends her days blogging about her life and adventures with Elodie in sunny San Diego, and the never-ending quest for wellbeing and balance in Mommyhood.

Oh my word!!! I can hear those giggles through the monitor. Miss M got super excited when she saw E on the screen 😉

We might have to invest in a Giggle Gang soon.
