Each week, Rural Hubby and I identify two or more affordable wines we’d like to try. Our research methods aren’t complex, basically if we see it, like the description, and it’s in our price range, we’re all about sampling it to see if it’s a keeper!
Figured it would be fun to stay in line with our Weekly Web picks that detailed our favorite Black Friday websites… so here’s what we came up to add vintage appeal to your Black Friday:
1) Black Walnut Winery Spiced Apple
Sounds perfect for relaxing after a long day of shopping. Described as: a variation of Black Walnut Winery apple wine which has been lightly spiced with cinnamon and cloves.
2) Black Box Merlot

Haven’t tried a box wine yet, but fairly convinced we need to try this one. Described as: lavish red fruit aromas introduce a plush palate of rich plum and black cherry flavors, with smoky, vanilla oak nuances enriching the smooth, concentrated finish.
3) Friday Monkey Shiraz
Love “fun” sounding labels, don’t you? Described as: a well balanced dry red shiraz with berry fruit and pepper spice aromas.
4) Fridays Creek Traminette
Hmm… this could perhaps be the perfect Thanksgiving leftover compliment, great for feasting after a day of Black Friday shopping. Described as: Sweet spicy with a clean finish loves to be served with anything with sweet brown spices.
What’s on your Black Friday wine wish list? What wine have you tried lately that you love? We’d love to hear your recommendations!
