Gift Idea That Gives Back: Lonesome George

Through the holidays, I’m always on the look-out for gifts that give more than just a moment of delight.  Durability, functionality, and quality with meaning are always high on my criteria.  I also appreciate eco-friendly products and certainly, a company that gives back catches my attention.

Lonesome George & Co. meet all my top criterias, and thensome!

The Lonesome George line of shirts and hoodies for men, women, and children are produced using high-quality certified Organic Peruvian Pima cotton. Each garment tells a story, makes a statement, and rallies the community around a cause.

A design that particularly appealed to me is the “World Map” (pictured.)  The organic nature of the design and the concpt that we are responsible for nuturing the growth of the earth strikes a chord with my rural roots. From the second I slipped it on, I found the t- shirt to be comfortable, soft, like a beloved garment that has traveled with me through the best of journeys.

The Lonesome George & Co. tagline is “Outfitting Agents of Change” and the company upholds their role as a powerful agent of change.  10 percent of all purchased fund educational programs that create a sustainability mindshift.  When you purchase or wear their clothing, you help spread the message, commincating to the world that you, too are “an Agent of Change.”

If you are looking for a holiday gift to inspire or simply a terrific garment to add to your holiday wardrobe, you’ll find a great selection at http://www.lonesomegeorge.net/

Lonesome George & Co. also has a fun array of accessories available for purchase including hats, totes, and beach towels… and some great sales for the season, too.

Disclosure: I received product for review from Lonesome George & Co., however I am under no obligation to post nor provide a review, I choose to as this is a quality product.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.
