The Top Three Things That a Rural Man Should Never Say to a Woman

When I first thought about this question, it didn’t take me long to come up with a mental list of twenty or so, but rather than put them in order, I decided that the first three that came to mind, should probably be considered my top three.  So, warning to the Rural Men out there, these are likely things you should keep in mind as relationship Taboo:

1) I think it’s time we fatten you up some.

2) What do you mean you don’t have anything to wear?  I’ve got a tent out back you can slip on quick.

3) Honey, come look at the new tractor (4wheeler, pickup, etc.)  I bought with that vacation money we were saving.  Figured we weren’t going anywhere anyway anytime soon.

There are certainly plenty of things we could come up with that our rural men should never say.  What are your top three?

These foot-in-mouth funnies make for great laughter in life and on television.  Like in episode 1 of season 2 of The Big Bang Theory, when Leonard and Penny go on their first date. Both people feel insecure about the date and unbeknownst to them both, each of them has feelings for the other person.

When Leonard learns of Penny’s insecurity about her intelligence, he gives her brochures to a local community college and tells her he is fine dating a girl who isn’t smart. Penny abruptly slams the door in his face.

I’m with Penny, that would likely be a deal breaker for me, too.
