When it comes to phones, they are constantly changing. Just when you get the hang of the phone you’ve got, you need to change phones because it’s broken. You then have to figure out a whole new phone, which can be a pain in the behind! But there are some things that always stay the same. That’s what we’re going to be looking at today.
In this article, we’re going to be taking a look at how you can stay safe while on your phone. Because these rules do not vary from phone to phone. Are you interested in learning more? Feel free to read on.
Don’t Tell Anyone Your Passcode
Of course, you should never tell anyone your passcode. Also never let them add their face or fingerprint to your phone. We know that it’s fairly common for this to be done, but the more people who can access your phone, the less privacy you have. Also, the more chance that there is going to be some sort of breach at some point.
You also want to try and ensure that you are making your passcode somewhat difficult to guess. If you make it too easy, everyone is going to know.
When Changing Your Phone
We talked in the beginning about having to change your phone. When that happens it can be stressful because you have to transfer all of the data over. Doing this doesn’t have to be tough, though. You do need to ensure that you are securing the phone while doing it.
For example, if you’re switching to a new iPhone from an existing one, you do have the option to just transfer all the data over so everything on the old one is on the new one. However, if you don’t want to do that but you do want your photos, you can look into iPhone photo recovery.
The point is, you should always back everything up so that you can access it on a new device when needed.
Don’t Download Apps You’re Unsure Of
If you ever feel skeptical about an app, or you’re not sure whether it’s something that is a good idea to download on your phone, simply don’t. Try not to download apps from anything other than the app store available to you. Even then you need to double check what you are actually putting onto your phone. Read the description and read the user reviews. Then use this information to determine whether it’s the right choice for you.
Any apps that look unsafe or dodgy should simply be ignored, and if you’ve already got one then you need to get rid of it asap.
Hopefully you found some interesting ways to stay safe on your phone while reading this article. There will always be dangers out there that you need to be aware of. Staying ahead of these will ensure you are safe at all times. If you have children, then make sure you are also teaching them the dangers of phone use.
