When I find an excellent app, I’m eager to share it with all my friends and family. When the app saves me money, I’m more-than-happy to pass that awesomeness along! Thanks to my partnership with Subtotal, I’ve discovered a fantastic new app that lets you save money while doing one of my favorite activities – eating at our favorite restaurants… read on!
In a nutshell, with Subtotal you eat at your favorite restaurant and earn up to 10 percent cash back. The money you save, you then apply towards your life goals like owning a home, paying your bills off, saving up for college or simply eating at more of your favorite restaurants.
How Does Subtotal Work?
I’m fairly app-savvy, but I don’t consider myself an expert user… meaning, I sometimes struggle to figure out the complexities of an app. With Subtotal, I was a pro user of the app lickety-split.
It’s really an easy process, like no harder than making a PB&J sandwich. Only it’s better, because instead of making PB&J, you’ll be eating gourmet vittles at your favorite hangout.
Follow these super simple steps:
First, download Subtotal via https://subtot.al/
Then, check out eligible restaurants and cash back offers.
Next, decide where to eat and enjoy a ridiculously delicious meal.
When it comes time to pay the bill, open up Subtotal, select your restaurant, enter the amount of the bill and the tip you wish to leave the server.
Select your payment method (Subtotal supports Apple Pay, credit, and debit cards.)
Subtotal then generates an instant electronic gift card for the exact purchase amount you selected (including tip.)
Lastly, have your server ring in the gift card, follow the simple instructions for signing your bill and ensuring the tip is included, and viola! You quickly and securely pay for your meal while earning a nice cash back reward in the process!
Subtotal is great for use at restaurants and fast food chains, but it’s also a fantastic way to earn cash back on take-out, too. You can easily use the Subtotal gift cards for your pizza home deliveries and even combine the offer with restaurant coupons to make the deal even sweeter.
Bottom Line on Subtotal
While I can’t show you my credit card statements (for obvious reasons,) I can attest that Subtotal delivers. Subtotal policies state that cashback is issued to your credit card within two weeks (You can read all of Subtotal’s policies at https://subtot.al/policies.html.) Mine came much quicker. I charged my first purchase on 6/9/17 and received a credit on my card for the cash back offer on 6/12/17.
My second purchase was charged in partnership with Subtotal so I don’t have a credit but you can bet I’m going to continue to use this app as, quite frankly, it’s pretty dang awesome.
Eating the food that I love to dine out on. Getting money back for doing so. You can color me super happy with this fabulous discovery.
And color me a whole lot richer for the experience!
