When your stocking are hung by the chimney with care, do you include one for your pets? As our pets are family, we have one for each of our Great Pyrenee, our cats and even our chickens, too! Even though we know they can’t read their names on the stockings, it’s a way for us to honor them and include them in all our holiday joy. Today’s conversation about including our pets in our holiday celebrations is sponsored by Lunchbox Create. As always, though, all thoughts, opinions and love of including our family pets in our Christmas celebrations are that of Rural Mom.
When Santa visits on Christmas Eve, he is sure to leave something for all our pets in their holiday stockings and under the tree, too. A favorite gift our dogs and cats are sure to find are a variety of great Purina treats. Busy Bones are one of our pups’ favorites and the cats love to find Friskies Party Mix. Whether they know what is going on Christmas morning, they are fully aware how much they are loved by everyone and are quite happy with their holiday treats!
We also love to treat our extended family and neighbor’s pets. This year I found oodles of inspiration at the Purina Pet Park on Walmart.com! There are printable tags and adorable, quick and easy DIY projects for creating lovely gifts. I really like the mason treat jars as they are perfect for our country Christmas gift giving!

It’s so cute how you really include your pets in the holidays. The tag on the jar is too cute.
I don’t generally create anything but I do always buy my pets something special. This year I did print some diy gift tags.
Thank you for this! Our pets are so important to us, we always include them! Didn’t think of gifting the neighbors too, great idea!
