Engaging and keeping the interest of both my pre-teen son and my teen son is no easy task, especially when it comes to family time activities. I’m lucky they have adventurous spirits, so it gives us little latitude when presenting something new, but one thing I know is guaranteed to snag and keep their attention is a video game!
Like most kids their age, my sons would stay glued to the video console if we allowed them to. The good news is now I can use that to our advantage in engaging them in a fun-filled family game night with the new Hasbro Game Channel games!
The Hasbro Game Channel is a destination for family game entertainment on leading consoles, featuring games based on Hasbro’s most popular brands, including MONOPOLY, RISK and TRIVIAL PURSUIT. Games are available to download on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®3 entertainment systems.
This month, we tested out TRIVIAL PURSUIT Live! In the same spirit as the popular board game, trivia fans can test their wits in this new take on the world’s most well-known trivia game. Instead of a board, players access their television game console in a fully interactive game format with reinvented question formats, customizable game lengths and a variety of game rounds and rules to keep players guessing all night long!
To say my family enjoyed playing rounds of TRIVIAL PURSUIT Live! is an understatement. We all simply LOVE this incredibly fun new format! In fact our originally planned family game night turned into multiple family game nights as the kids begged to play it instead of watching television.
As a mom who values educational play, I love that TRIVIAL PURSUIT Live! challenged players ability to recall knowledge or to use logic skills to deduce answers in addition to provide hours of highly entertaining fun. I was surprised (and reassured!) to find how much my sons have retained from their school lessons. History, Geography and Science were their strongest categories.
Other features we love about the interactive TRIVIAL PURSUIT Live!:
- ability to select customized characters for game play
- variety of question formats helps keep the game interesting
- visual tracking that shows the progress of the players
- fun commentary from the game “announcer” that makes you feel like you are competing on a live television show
- option to decide various methods of game play
- no more arguments over who goes first or who is going to read the trivia question!
Overall, we honestly haven’t found anything not to like about TRIVIAL PURSUIT Live! It’s crazy-cool fun for the whole family!
Do you have a favorite game for family game night? Have you tried playing TRIVIAL PURSUIT Live! or other interactive board games on your video game player?

This looks like a lot of fun because I love Trivial Pursuit. I rarely win in my family, but I still love it anyway. lol.
This looks like so much fun! The only interactive game we’ve tried recently was a bible study game and my youngest was the winner, which made her really proud. As for Trivial Pursuit, my money would be on my husband,
