It seemed like no sooner than had I agreed to review this complimentary Mucinex product via Smiley360, our feel better package arrived and my youngest daughter came home with a nasty cold. I was so thankful that I already had medicine on hand to make her feel better fast. I’ve trusted Children’s Mucinex chest congestion for years, so I felt comfortable giving her this medicine. All opinions are my own.

Children’s Mucinex knows parents want to help their kids feel better fast, so when they show symptoms of a cold like a stuffy nose, cough and chest congestion, the line of Children’s Mucinex is there to help. About Children’s Mucinex Multi Symptom Cold:
Children’s Mucinex Multi Symptom Cold breaks up mucus and relieves your child’s worst cold symptoms by offering triple symptom relief in a single dose and in a tasty very berry flavor. Yes, I did taste it! If my child is going to take I want to know how it tastes too.
According to Mucinex the Children’s Mucinex Multi Symptom Cold helps:
- Relieves stuffy nose
- Controls cough
- Relieves chest congestion
- Breaks up mucus
My thoughts:
After tucking in my daughter with her Mucinex blanket and starting Frozen for her while she drank sips of water, we waited to see how long it would take for the Mucinex to kick in and help her. It didn’t take long at all, about 25 minutes and she said she was feeling a little better and her cough had slowed downdramatically.
The next morning, I gave her another dose of Children’s Mucinex Multi Symptom Cold and within 35 minutes she said it made her feel light headed and funny. Since it was a Saturday, I had her lay back down so I could watch her for other symptoms, which thankfully, she didn’t have.
The take away:
Children’s Mucinex Multi Symptom Cold does all that Mucinex claims it will, but if your child is sensitive to some medications like my daughter, you should consult with your Pediatrician and/or read the label for all active ingredients prior to giving this cold medicine to your child. You can also visit Mucinex here to learn more about this and all their products, including their ingredients, just look for Drug Facts.
