Spending Time With Nature | JORD Wood Watches

When I was growing up, I always loved spending time outdoors and was particularly fascinated with trees.  Perhaps because I lived in the city where forests were scarce or maybe simply because nature produces such fascinating diversity for us to admire.

This adoration transferred into my interior style, where I’ve always had a preferred the look of natural and rustic wood furniture and admired the gorgeous hand-crafted wood Swiss cuckoo clocks and the giant grandfather clocks that adorned many of my relatives hallways and dining rooms.  There was something so special about the intricate designs, the unique features and colors and variant tones of the woods.  Each piece a timeless classic beauty.

Not surprisingly then, when I first learned of JORD Wood Watches I was instantly drawn to this intriguing line.  When I found out they were hand-crafted from sustainable wood materials from around the world, the deal was sealed, I totally knew I wanted to see one of these beauties up close!

JORD is Swedish for earth, soil or land.  Truly befitting of this natural collection of timepieces.

From the second I opened the package, I was charmed by this gorgeous time piece that is equally at home with formal or casual wear.  The particular piece that JORD sent over, the Sully Series Black & Maple is also has a unisex style (as many of their watches do,) comfortably stylish on my husband’s, my son’s or my wrist.

JORD watches were designed to take people back to nature and away from today’s metal & rubber.  They had a vision to create a premium line of watches that not only reflected the wearer’s fashion sense and personality but the unique facets of each piece of wood used to the fashion the timepiece.

In my opinion, they’ve certainly fulfilled their vision and offered us an amazing array of breath-taking styles to help us cherish every minute of the day!

After you are done admiring the quality and natural beauty of your JORD Wood Watch, the next thing you’ll fall in love with is the weight of the time piece.  The Sully Series Black & Maple is the lightest time piece I can ever recall wearing.  Despite the amazing comfort and light-weight nature of the product, it is sturdy and well-designed with a stainless steel single action locking clasp that keep the watch nice and secure on your wrist (see pictures below:)  

The clock is is a 3-hand Citizen Miyota Quartz movement with hardened, scratch-proof glass.  Every part of this watch is luxe and commands attention where-ever you go.  I’ve had more people ask me where I found it than any other watch I’ve owned previously.

I honestly haven’t found a think not to love about JORD Wood Watches.  For some, it may be that the watch is designed to be splash proof but is not water proof.  This does prohibit me from heavy-duty gardening or clean-ups while wearing the watch, but I typically don’t wear a watch when completing farm chores, so this hasn’t been an issue.

The black and maple colors of the Sully are a striking combination, but I’m also enchanted with the green wood styles, which are high on my wish list for adding to my watch collection.
