When my husband first suggested getting a boat, I balked (or squawked, depending on your point of view!)
I mean, really, we had better things to spend that money on, right? My laundry wish list of home improvements is awfully long…
In retrospect, I’m not sure what I was thinking. Maybe I worried about maintenance, time away from my garden or the extra clean-up chores involved with recreational vehicles. Whatever it was, those worries dissipated immediately when I realized while the boys were busy fishing or tubing, mom gets the luxuries of family time accompanied with some much-needed relaxation!
The lake has now become our summer home where days are full of merriment and nights, quiet reflections.
This is where I find my Sangria Sunday.
Sangria Sunday is carving time out of your busy schedule and devoting it to activities you truly enjoy.
The things that align your Chi with your Zen and offer your soul time to simple breathe and be.
Where will you spend your Sangria Sunday?
Special thanks to Yellow Tail for fueling my Sangria Sunday with a bottle of Yellow Tail Sangria, a delicious blend of red wine and citrus. A great choice for Sangria Sunday or any day! All thoughts and opinions are that of Rural Mom.

I need a Sangria Sunday! I think that I saw the Yellow Tail brand at World Market. I’m going to have to pick some up the next time that I am there. I never know how to pick these things out other than friends telling me what they liked.
Adult fruit snacks! Hahahaha! Guess you have to get your fiber intake, right? I need a Sangria Sunday today!
I actually have this Sangria chilling in my refrigerator as we speak and I cannot wait to open it and get a little me time in next weekend.
Having just recently tried my first Sangria, I will have to try Yellow Tail’s, because I do enjoy their Pinot Grigio on special occasions. Your sentence “The things that align your Chi with your Zen and offer your soul time to simple breathe and be.” speaks to me at this stage in my life. Good reading as always and I’m digging those blue toenails. 🙂
