One of my super-favorite indulgences at the state fair is not the deep-fried oreos, it’s cake gawking in the exhibit hall. Little sweet frosted works of culinary art fill display cases evoking “oohs” and “ahhs” from each passerby and bursts of excitement from the children who spot their favorite characters among the displays.
I could honestly spend an hour admiring the detail, appreciating the level of work that goes into each creation… but of course there’s so much to see and explore at the state fair and children tugging me in multi directions, so alas I have to limit my viewing to a few minutes. Which is why I snap lots of pictures to reference later on. Hope you enjoy the visuals and inspiration as much as I do:
PS- The cake owner information is not easily identifiable on the tags, if the tag is even upright, that is… so if any of these lovely creations belong to you… be sure to let me know, I’ll be happy to tag it as such!
