Gearing Up for Travel and Summer Camp With Label Daddy

It seems hard to fathom, but spring break is only 6-8 weeks away for most of us and summer travel and summer camps will be here before we know it, too!

This year, as our family has several travel events already planned, I vowed to be proactive about gathering the items we need and planning in a more organized fashion,  This way, I hope to avoid the proverbial last minute packing madness and trips to the store scouring the shelves for the things we need.  Or worse, not having it and having to pay exorbitant prices for rush shipping fees or resort mark-ups.

One area I fell short on last year when it came to travel, in particular summer camp prep, was labeling items.  The day before my sons left, I found myself still scrambling for items they needed and having to use permanent markers to label everything.

Now, if you’ve ever used permanent markers to label every shirt, shoe, pant, toiletry, flashlight and so on, you know that:

a) you’ll have writer’s cramp before you are even half-way through
b) it’s incredibly difficult to label some items with a permanent marker (and it sometimes ruins the look of the item or bleeds through clothing)
and
c) permanent marker is truly not permanent because a strong detergent, sunlight, or a bleach agent (like chlorine used to treat swimming pools) will quickly fade and eventually remove your markings. In which case, if you are heading on more than one trip, you’ll have to re-mark most everything again.

When I found out Label Daddy offered a Camp Pack, I knew immediately that I’d found the perfect solution to label every summer camp item and important items for our family outings, too!  With 152 labels per pack, the Label Daddy Camp Pack certainly contains the range of sizes and shapes I need to label everything for summer camp and beyond (school items, beach items, and so on.)

I plan to use the luggage tags on both duffle bags for summer camp and our suitcases for travel.

What makes the labels even more attractive to me, though, is they are laminated.  This unique extra level of protection on the labels helps eliminate any fading, including damage caused by chemicals in sunscreens. lotions, chlorine and extreme heat. I had not even thought about the damage done by items like sunscreen or bug spray lotion coming into contact with the labels.  Happy to learn that the pros at Label Daddy have every angle covered.

Label Daddy labels are extremely simple to use, just peel and press to stick.  I’ve already started labeling a few items that I know will be heading to camp or on trips with us this year and will likely have nearly everything ready by the end of this month- what a great feeling that is!  And no writer’s camp, to boot!

Love that Label Daddy Camp Labels will also help keep my son’s items from lingering in the lost and found!

Camp Packs can be customized with 17 color choices, 6 fonts, and 40+ icons.  Our last name lent itself well to choosing the spider icon, don’t you think?  And I opted to use initial as all three of my children have the same one… making this a super versatile purchase (that I can certainly use for all family items, too.)
