Don’t you just love it?

Whether you have a Soda Stream unit or not, The Artisan Soda Workshop: 75 Homemade Recipes from Fountain Classics to Rhubarb Basil, Sea Salt Lime, Cold-Brew Coffee and Much Much More is a cookbook you should definitely consider adding to your Rural Mom bookshelf.

The cookbook offers step-by-step instructions to create your own natural fruit, herb, and spice-based drinks including favorites like Cherry Cola, Root Beer, Orange and Cream Soda.  You can follow the recipes exactly or mix and match, changing them up to create all new flavor varieties.

What I love best about my Soda Stream unit is the same thing I love best about The Artisan Soda Workshop, there’s not “mystery” ingredient to be found in these soda creations and they taste superior to manufactured sodas.

What makes me love The Artisan Soda Workshop cookbook even more is that it offers me complete control over the flavors and ingredients.  Some of the recipes use sweeteners like sugar or honey, some rely simply on the ingredients to naturally sweeten, but all can be adjusted to suit your taste and preferences.

The book is truly full of endless possibilities, offering sections on copycat sodas, seasonal sodas, and even teas, floats, and alcohol-enhanced drinks. It may take me years to try all the flavor combinations offered (and those I can cross-mate for new  combinations) but my taste-buds will certainly thank me for the experience!
