Free Smithsonian’s Museum Day in Kentucky (and Nationwide)

Legacy of the Horse Exhibit ~ IMH.org

Spending the day at a museum is such an enriching experience, I simply love having the chance to explore our rich history and variant cultures. And I suppose I’ll enjoy it just a wee little bit more when the ticket is free!

Museum-goers can head to smithsonian.com/museumdaylive to download tickets for Smithsonian’s Museum Day Live! Tickets grant free admission for two people per household to participating museums on Saturday, September 29, 2012.

Museums across Kentucky including Frazier History Museum, Liberty Hall Historic Site, McCreary County Museum, The Lincoln Museum, and one of my all time favorites, International Museum of the Horse at the Kentucky Horse Park will be participating in this eighth annual event celebrating cultural education through the nation’s wide array of museums and institutions.

For the full list of participating museums, please visit: http://www.smithsonianmag.com/museumday/venues/.

It’s difficult to choose only one!  Which one will you be visiting?
