Tailgating at Home with #NCAAFootball13 (and a Giveaway!) #CBias

Family game nights at our house are a weekly occurrence.  Playing a game everyone likes is a great way to have fun together and stay connected, so we rotate between board games (that I prefer) and video games (which my children prefer to play.)

We’ve got our NCAA Football 13 game face on!

Because they are super excited to get their hands on EA Sports NCAA Football 13, I decided a family video game tailgate-at-home night was in order. NCAA Football 13 has a bunch of new features including a new Heisman Challenge will allow players to play as one of 10 former Heisman Trophy winners, a new Reaction Time feature that slows down the game during key moments, and a new Dynamic Dynasty mode.  (You can read more about these features, and more, in detail in my Prepping for Tailgating at Home article.)

A little table decor, sliders and other traditional tailgating goodies would enhance our fun, but I knew the outstanding showpiece of the night would be a custom cover from EA Sports “You’re Covered” game day program.

The EA “You’re Covered” app on Facebook allows the user to upload any photo online and print a custom game cover featuring your face (or someone else’s) on the body of a NCAA Football 13 Player, then print a custom game cover.  Seriously cool!

The “You’re Covered” app so simple to use, I was able to create a custom cover for my oldest son (who is the major football fan in our house) using a recent photo.  I really liked that you can use any photo from your computer, a webcam, or a Facebook photos to create a custom cover featuring the uniform of your favorite team.  And then you simply cut it out and slip into the front of the NCAA 13 game case.

As you can see, the end result is adorable. My son was so tickled when he saw it.  His initial reaction, “No way, they made a game just for me?”  Priceless!

(You can see the step-by-step process for “You’re Covered” along with my tailgate shopping experience at Walmart in my NCAAFootball13 Google+ Album)

When our NCAA Football 13 tailgate family video night arrived, the boys had a blast.  They invited a friend over to enjoy the fun and goodies and readily dug into the goo-ey good tailgate chow.

The “You’re Covered” custom cover made my son feel very special.  The decorations and tailgate picnic-style foods helped make the night festive. Maybe not the “healthiest” of snack choices, but hey, it’s football time! Overall, a  really fun way to indulge in a themed experience and make the NCAA Football 13 game play truly special.

I tried entering a few times but apparently another contestant on your site used my son’s photo to enter this giveaway. The entry from Kenny F is my son’s photo. Guess have to go make another one to enter…That’s messed up.

    Mosey Photography,

Not sure why that happened? Maybe a glitch in the entry, perhaps you were entering at the same time? Not sure as I’ve never seen/heard of that happening before. Please do re-enter for your chance to win.

    Thank you for stopping by!
