Each week, Rural Hubby and I identify two affordable wines we’d like to try. Choosing to share them with you because, heck, if you are reading this, chances are you are looking for new affordable wines to add to your table, too.
Our research methods aren’t complex, basically if we see it, like the description, and it’s in our price range, we’re all about sampling it to see if it’s a keeper!
1) Elk Creek “Kentucky Blue” Vidal Blanc – Described as: brisk, tart wine that scours the palate with lemony flavors and leaves the throat feeling fresh and clean.
2) Steeple Jack Cabernet Sauvignon – Described as: Blackcurrant, plum and tobacco leaf dominate the nose. Full, rich, fleshy palate of mulberry, black cherry and spice upfront laced with hint of dutch chocolate and mint
What’s on your wine wish list? What wine have you tried lately that you love? We’d love to hear your recommendations!
