Newton’s Third Law

Leonard from
The Big Bang Theory

If a force acts upon a body, then an equal and opposite force must act upon another body.  This is Newton’s Third Law of motion… which could easily be equated to e-motion.

Take for example my propensity to cry at inopportune moments, generally when a “force” acts in an insulting or infathomable way.  Recently, this happened in the middle of an important meeting when acted rudely.  The complications of a sinus infection didn’t help my disposition any… but ugh… how embarrassing to have a gusher outburst! (And knowing that I really shouldn’t be embarrassed of my emotions didn’t help as much as I might of liked.)

Newton’s Third Law has a tendency to come into play with the e-motions of relationships, too. Have you ever let your emotions sway you to do something reckless in the name of love?  Or to pursue a “beau” hoping for an equal reaction?

If you watched the re-run of the pilot episode of The Big Bang Theory (which aired on September 19)
you saw this principle in action when Leonard meets Penny for the first time and is immediately infatuated with her. While his roommates say that she is an unattainable goal, Leonard is an idealist and strives to be worthy of her. Even going so far as to confront her much larger and stronger ex-boyfriend, resulting in him getting de-pantsed.

In fact, the guys from The Big Bang Theory are constantly challenging the laws of physics both in an out of the lab… want to check it out… good news…
TheBigBangTheory is on every night this week! (You can rest during the weekend and catch up on your zzzz’s of motion!): http://bit.ly/pzVRir

Disclosure: I have been hired by Warner Bros. WBWord division to promote The Big Bang Theory in Syndication.
